Daily Green Smoothie with Jen

This smoothie is nutrient dense, kick starts the day with 2-3 servings of fruits and veggies, and is packed with anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties. For the most nutrient absorption, green smoothies are best consumed on an empty stomach.
Recipe:
- 1 cup organic kale (I like to alternate dandelion greens, spinach, or beet greens)
- Turmeric and ginger root (about a thumbnail size of each)
- 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup organic frozen strawberries (can instead use apple and lemon for a green lemonade flavor)
-Optional add ins: spirulina, chia seeds, cinnamon, flax seeds
